 Moms Mental Health Initiative

A Milwaukee non profit whose mission is to connect moms in the southeastern Wisconsin to professional resources and mom to mom support for effective recovery from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders such as postpartum depression and anxiety. If you’re a mom suffering from emotional complications during pregnancy or after childbirth, you’re not alone.

Moms Mental Health Initiative: Mentor Moms (Coming Soon!)

Connect with and get support from a mom who knows what you’re going through. We will match you with a mom in your area to chat with or meet with—whatever you need to feel less alone. Contact MMHI to get in touch with a Mentor Mom near you.

Moms Mental Health Initiative: Online Support Group

Our online support group is a private, closed group on Facebook for moms local to the Milwaukee area to share experiences, feelings and concerns. Only perinatal women (pregnant through one year of birth) who we grant access to can join. No outsiders can see our conversations, no one will judge you. You don’t need to be diagnosed with a disorder or undergoing treatment. Nor will anyone diagnose you or recommend specific treatment plans. This is strictly an opportunity for peer support. Contact MMHI to request an invite to apply to the group.
