Postpartum Depression: Through a Mother’s Eyes

February 19, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm | $25 – $35

Join us for an important discussion on perinatal mood anxiety disorders. This training will be led by the Moms Mental Health Initiative (MMHI), whose mission is to help moms with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in the Greater Milwaukee area get better by leading them to effective treatment and by teaching the community and healthcare professionals how to better serve those who suffer from these illnesses.

**You do not need to be a member of C.A.R.E. Network to attend this event.

What is it? An interactive training provided by the Moms Mental Health Initiative (MMHI) that provides an intimate and authentic glimpse into maternal mental illness and the darkness and isolation it brings to nearly 20% of new moms.

Unlike other PPD trainings that present the clinical side of the disease, MMHI helps the audience understand the mom’s perspective and what they really need to get better, find effective treatment and stay hopeful.

What will you learn?

  • A solid understanding of what moms experience while navigating maternal mental illness
  • Tips and Tools, specific to the audience, for serving moms struggling with PPD and related illnesses
  • Concrete resources for effective referrals

Cost:  $35 for non-members & $25 for C.A.R.E. members.

Please fill out this form to register for the training.  After registering please submit your payment via PayPal to carenetworkwi@gmail.com {send it under friends/family to avoid fees}. If you can not send payment via Paypal please contact us at carenetworkwi@gmail.com for other payment options.
